7/20/2007 Betavoltaics receive public attention after filing of patent

20 07 2007

There’s been some interest lately in our betavoltaic battery designs. This technology enables long term low power sensor technologies. Higher radioactivity levels will allow long lasting batteries (>10 years) to be realized with higher power densities and stability than Li-ion batteries. These batteries rely on the unique proprties of wide bandgap Silicon Carbide (SiC) technology. By taking advantage of our unique p-type doping technology, the possibility of commercialization has emerged.
